About Us
OCG had been established with in accordance with Section 73 (1) of the Executive Bodies Act, 2014 and Section 44 (1) of the Administration of Public Development Enterprises Act, 2014, respectively. Oromia regional state government had been working on different development activities to boost the economy and improve the livelihood of its people since 2006. The regional government focused on stablishing and restructuring of public enterprises as one of the key development actors inline with the economic revolution.

The construction sector has seen remarkable growth, driven by significant government investment in infrastructure and urbanization. In this dynamic landscape, Oro-Construction Group (OCG) stands out as a premier construction and real estate development entity, established on September 21, 2021, under Oromia Regional Government Regulation No. 234/2022. With an authorized capital of Birr 15 billion and a paid-up capital of Birr 6.8 billion, OCG has swiftly made its mark in the industry.
OCG includes five subsidiaries:
- Oromia Construction Corporation (OCC)
- Oromia Engineering Corporation (ECO)
- Walabu Construction Share Company
- OBM Construction Share Company
- IJA Developers Share Company
OCC, Walabu, and OBM focus on construction projects, while ECO provides engineering services, and IJA drives real estate development, hospitality, and tourism ventures.
