History

Oro-Construction Group (OCG) was officially established on September 21, 2021, under Oromia Regional Government Regulation No. 234/2022. This move was part of the Oromia regional state government's broader efforts, initiated around 2006, to bolster its economy and improve livelihoods by establishing and restructuring public enterprises. OCG rapidly positioned itself as a premier construction and real estate development entity, starting with an authorized capital of Birr 15 billion and a paid-up capital of Birr 6.8 billion. It was formed to bring together key construction and engineering companies in the region, creating a unified force to undertake significant infrastructure and building projects.
